Who is behind this

Youth Island Laboratories is two founders — a father and a son — building a skincare brand around one dermatological premise: most of what we call aging skin is ultraviolet damage, and ultraviolet damage is preventable.

We are not dermatologists, and we will not pretend otherwise. We are careful readers of people who are, and we work with formulators and testing partners whose job is to prove or kill our ideas. Every claim on this site is meant to survive contact with the literature; when we do not know something yet, the site says so.

The products are in development. The standard they have to meet — broad-spectrum protection with no visible cast, verified across twelve steps of skin tone, gentle enough to use every single day — is fixed. The launch date is whenever the testing says they meet it.

If that sounds slower than the usual brand timeline, it is. Prevention is not an emergency.
